1955 Motogiro: Grit, Speed, and Moto History in Motion

Thanks to a friend, I was able to get the gist of a 1955 La Settimana Incom newsreel covering the third Motogiro d'Italia, where Emilio Mendogni took the win on a Moto Morini. The footage is packed with everything that makes vintage racing so compelling—meticulous bike tuning, tense pre-race moments, aerial shots of the course, and the sheer grit of riders pushing through the Italian landscape. There's even a scene of a racer running out of fuel and pushing his bike. Been there, and it doesn’t feel good… Legends like Taruffi and Tartarini make an appearance, and the crowd’s energy is palpable. Pure moto history in motion. #VintageRacing #Motogiro
